In March 2026 our group was presented with a very special certificate of appreciation from the High Sheriff of Lancashire Jim Carter DL and his wife Annabel.

It was a nice evening, surrounded by a dozen or so other voluntary groups from Lancashire, all being acknowledged for their service and dedication – including friends from nearby St. Laurence’s Church, Chorley.

The High Sheriff visited the ‘Ukraine Unit’ donation centre earlier this year and commented that seeing the effort and commitment to Ukraine from the Volunteers, made it one of his most rewarding visits during his year in office.

This certificate is recognition and appreciation for all the hard working Volunteers and generous donors.
