The other day lots of life saving medical supplies and equipment left the ‘Ukraine Unit’ donation centre in Chorley. Thanks to donations from across the country, we were able to buy another vehicle for Ukraine in April 2026. The car was christened “Aleksandra” – meaning “Defender of mankind”. Given what the people of Ukraine are doing at the moment, it is a very appropriate name.
