On Monday 20th February 2023, St. Laurence’s Church in Chorley hosted a special service to acknowledge the one year anniversary of the escalation of the conflict in Ukraine.

The service offered an opportunity for reflection and for our community to come together in solidarity to offer prayers for those who are suffering, those who are fighting, those who are offering support and naturally, it was a time to pray for peace.

Nearly 80 people from the community attended, including the Mayor of Chorley Cllr Julia Berry, members from the Chorley & District Support for Ukraine group, Chorley Ukrainian Community Group Kalyna, other Ukrainian guests and local residents.
